As Rolls-Royce builds tomorrow’s innovations including small-modular nuclear, electrified air travel, and ethical AI, they are hiring the engineering leaders of tomorrow in sites from Derby to Indianapolis. Code First Girls partnered with Rolls-Royce in the UK and USA to deliver a unified package of MOOCs, Classes, and Nanodegree places, placing women in tech roles across Britain and America.

A deep and mutually rewarding partnership betweeen Code First Girls and Rolls-Royce culminated in an international cohort on the first ever Nanodegree. 
Spanning 6 timezones, Code First Girls delivered coding education and placed women in internships at Rolls-Royce who were based in the UK, New York, and Pittsburgh.

Rolls-Royce hosted several MOOCs with astonishing outcomes and massive awareness, generating employer branding impact for them and introducing their brand as engineering subject experts.

Rolls-Royce delivered MOOCs streamed on YouTube Live, garnering thousands of views and engagement with women across the world. Topics included artificial intelligence, machine learning, and knowledge graphs. Code First Girls’ Kickstarter courses gave Rolls-Royce the chance to provide targeted 8-week training to hundreds of high-potential candidates.

Hundreds of women took part in Rolls-Royce branded 8-week “Kickstarter” courses, introducing them to concepts and applications of software development and data science.

Women in the UK and US made a career step into tech and were provided with the opportunity to begin their tech careers at Rolls-Royce through the CFG nanodegree.

Rolls-Royce made a commitment to diversity their technical internship intake across Rolls-Royce and their AI team at R2 Data Labs. 
To support the onboarding of their interns, Code First Girls sourced and sifted a cohort of high potential women in the US and UK who went through the Nanodegree in Data and Software before joining the Rolls-Royce team.
